| Im tryin to use my MPC as a sequencer and use the sounds from reason. so when Protools is off, I can do it using the digi001's input midi port in reason. but as soon as I turn on protools, reason says that the digi001's input midi port is allready in use by another application. this is driving me a lil crazy, cause I can do what I want when protools is off, but I can't turn it on to record what I did |

Okay here's what I would do if I had protools, now I dont have PT but the best advice I can give you is to go into protools and tell it not to use the midi input of your mpc. I dont' even no if you can do that so sorry I can't really help you that much. All I know is that in ableton live you can tell it not to use certain midi inputs so then you can use them in reason.

Ok when i use my MPC in reason i just use a 2x2 midi box or 4x4 midi input box, That way you can have 2 midi in's and 2 midi outs. so you can 2 midi devices with no problems...now thats the easiet way to do it...Another way that i had it set up is from the MPC> midi in to the Computer>another midi in to the Triton> midi out to the mixer> from mixer to receiver...now everything works fine for me...just select track 1 device A on MPC and control whatevers in reason.
