Default Need a program...

... that can record acoustic instruments with mics, but is compatible with Reason's Rewire.

Unlimited budget.

Anyone?

I already have Cubase SX3, but I really want to get a program solely for recording mics. I know a guy in the business who had this program on his Mac and he recorded Piano, Drums, Guitar, all acoustic stuff with this program and then he could edit it as good as you can with Reason.

Well in most cases music production programs like cubase, ableton live, and protools have everything you need to record basically anything. I mean those three programs right there are kinda of the kings of any kind of music production. Also there's sony acid which is generally use for making looped based music. I guess what I'm trying to say is why would you want to limit yourself to a program just for recording when the these great programs have some much power in audio editing. Is it because you want something you don't want to be cluttered with all the other features? I still think you'll find the best audio editing features in programs like ableton, cubase and protools. Just my two cents.

Thanks, I'll look into those programs. As long as they're under 1k.

Well I haven't installed Ableton or Pro Tools yet, once I have time if I can't figure it out myself and if guides won't work for me then that'd be great
