well, there must be something wrong

i wrote the two files corrctely (the midicodec and the midi map)

and they work properly..but only by the sequencer window

if i decide to use the midi in panel (connecting the channel 1 to a subtractor) reason doesn't read my midi map file and use a standard one

i searched for all the midi map files on my hard disk and i modified them all

but still the problems remains

mumble mumble..

you've lost me a long time ago with this thread. Time to google...

Edit: Okay wait so you're trying to make sure one of your midi device's controller(s) manages certain parameters in reason? If that's so, then why don't you remote overide. Excause me if I'm way off it's just I'm not understanding the wording in your posts very well. Maybe I'm just slow today.

it's a bit more complicated :P

i have a band.. we use two midi controllers with reason

so we have to assigne every instruments to a midi channel
(for example: combinator 1 to midi channel 1, combinaotr 2 to midi channel 2 )

here start problems

reason by default decides that control knob two on the midi controller must switch on/off the button one on the cominator!
i tried to remove the automation
i tried to remote override the control knob to another parameter on another device, but the old automation remains

there are many default automation like this one

in the midi remote override mode these "default automations" are not listed

well i found an "escamotage"

to avoid the problem you should change on the midi controller the midi message related to the control knob

anyway, this is not a great solution

it's a bit complicated to explain..

Ah I wish I sorta see now. I wish I could help but I didn't even try dabble into all that because I dont need to. I'll still try to see if I can help and if anyone knows a solution and is reading this. TELL US. You don't know how many people will read forums and know the answer yet not post on it. It really goes a long way.
