Default Controlling Reason

Can you control Reason's "stop and start play" functions through an external midi controller?

No I'm pretty sure there's no way, unless you midi controller can double up as a keyboard. Which is not likely

I was wrong! you can do it, I tested it out. First right click on the stop button and click Edit remote overide mapping. A box will pop up, you have to pick the midi controller you want to use and then it's probably best to click "Learn from control surface input" and then press the key or whatever you will use to stop reason. You will have to do this all over for play to but it works!

Default re drum midi mapping

Clever guys. Now you've worked out how to start and stop it. See if you can get your midi keyboard to switch between patterns in redrum. It doesnt seem to work on mine. it recognises the keys when you overide the mapping but then nothing happens. hummm
