Default Reason Tutorials

Will these tutorials be appearing on this site? Or another site? Either way, I'd like to know the URL, regardless of whether the tutorials are free or not. There's a lot I have left to learn!

Moltar has said: He isn't sure where he will host them... he has to get a good few tutorials before he can upload them.

Cool

Moltar: I've written a tutorial on Microsoft Word with screenshots. It's 1425 words long and has 14 pages.

It's about Combinator, how to set one up, modulation routing, automation etc.

When and how do you want me to send it to you? I assume that you will pay after I send it to you, I will give you my PayPal username in private.

Titancow.

Uhh titan, that's a little long Maybe it's just me but I dont think a tutorial should be more than two pages. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that you wrote a probably amazing detailed tutorial, but I think you should chop them up into different ones. Great job though, I would be too lazy to do that.

I haven't got the tut yet, but I think it's that long because of screens. Or at least I hope so. It is 1,400 pages, but that shouldn't be 14 pages. From my experience 1,400 is about 2.5 pages. Still longer than what I asked for, and I'll probably split it into 2 parts.

P.S. Check your PMs, Titan!

I'm writing a new tutorial all about the Sequencer. It's going to be very long, as there's so much you can do with the Sequencer. I'm going to show how to do the basics - automation and recording.

I've done the first of 6 sections, and I've written just over 1000 words so far, with just under 20 screenshots. The font size is 12pt and I have size pages.

The formatting of the documents will be more straightforward, you'll be happy to hear Moltar.

To be completely honest this does sound like a great idea BUT i have seen video tutorials that seem much more usefull than text. I just go to youtube and search for "reason tutorials" and some good ones pop up. So keep that in mind if any of you are looking to make a tutorial, maybe some of them should be videos, to make them visually appealing.

Yeah, I really agree, which is why I'm trying to get a hold of doing video tutorials also

While video tuts are good in that they show things dynamically, a lot of English as a 2nd language visitors can't pick up on the live spoken English. They would rather read an automatically translated version or use a dictionary.

I'm an ESL and I remember when I just moved to the English speaking country, I couldn't understand TV or radio for at least a couple of years, even though I was studying English for 10 years prior to that and TV and radio speakers usually speak very clearly and have good English. It's just the slang and accents differs so much that it's difficult to catch what the person is saying. Anyone who studied a second language can related to that.

On the other hand, when you do a video tutorial, you must follow a script of some sort. That script is the text version of the tutorial. Who said you can't have both?
