Yea, you will hear the clipping once the tarck is exported. This is the problem with digital recording over tape recording in which you "could" end up with a nice sound, but definettly not a distorted clip.

I'm not sure what version you are using but a simple limiter should do the trick, or use compression on your tracks a bit more carefully before they enter your mixer. A mastering suite combi patch is designed to eliminate clipping, if you like the way your track sounds just use the gentle mastering preset and give it a tinker.

clips out as soon as I use a bass drum hit... i'll have to tinker around like you said. I have 3.0... so could I just compress my redrum section then.. may seem like a stupid question right now I'll just take a look-see at what I can do thanks though

Well another option would be to wire in an EQ between your bass drum oultet and your mixer and take away the frequencies you dont need, maybe a sub 50Hz cut would do the trick.

thanx don't realy understand the terminology... I just want to make good sounding music you know? I don't want to cut everything down and end up with a bad mix you know.. how would one wire in an EQ between your bass drum oultet? cuz all im really doing is turning everything down and I have a feeling once I send it to a wave editing program my levels are going to be LOW up
