| I'm totally new to Reason and trying to learn. I watched the "Reason version 4 - getting started" video. And when I added the Thor Polysonic Synthesizer and selected a bass sound it didn't sound correct. I can't play long sounds (with my Akai LPK 25). It's like short sounds repeating itself. Like daddadadadadadada... istead of daaaaaaaaaaaa. You know what i mean? Please help me, thank you! |

A lot of the bass sounds have their own unique quality to them, some aren't capable of elongating notes. Do you have a sustain pedal? Also may I recommend the Subtractor for bass sounds, I usually just use the bass guitar to make basic bass lines, then I go back and edit the sound to match what I hear in my head. You could also try adding reverb to your synthesizer by creating for instance the RV7000 Reverb device. Hope this helps. |

Polyphony should be high as well as release.
