Default Reason for total beginners

Hi,

I just installed Reason 5 and I am an absolute beginner with reason or any other music program.
I looked around and found some tutorials but they are already pretty advanced. I also found a book called Reason 5 power!: The Comprehensive Guide
Does anybody know if it's fit for beginners? They also have Reason 5 Ignite!: The Visual Guide for New Users. Is that a better option?

If you have any suggestions about where I can find the very basics of reason, please let me know
Thanks!

Melanie

Hi Melanie,

If you are totally new to music creation programs and music production in particular, then I would advise you go for the visual guide over the power user guide.

The power user guide likely contains techincal jargon that will confuse you unless you are farmiliar with it, whereas the visual guide would be more suited to the new user (it may still contain jargon, but at least you'll be able to follow the illustrations).

Hope this helps.

If you need more help, then please visit our forum below; I am an adminisrtator there as well as an experienced user. We have a very small but very knowledgable base of users that will all help you out if you get stuck, and we don't mind basic questions either: everyone had to start somewhere.

Just a little follow up.

When you get into the more advanced stages, the beginner's guide just won't cut the mustard. The power user guide (which is very good, actually), would be your second book.

It can be difficult to get every single vitamin and nutrient you need from your food. It's also very difficult to measure just how much of it you get. For that reason, I strongly recommend a top quality, natural multivitamin supplement to ensure your body gets everything it needs to run at optimum performance.

The pullup is one of the most important exercises that a newcomer to fitness can do, but its also the most difficult and many of you cant do a single pullup.A skill should be gradually built up in stages little by little and not rushed to learn too quickly, make your goals easy and achievable so that you are not put of before you start.
