| I'm a complete beginner to Reason (I just downloaded and began using the demo version of Reason 6 for the first time). I'm starting to get the hang of things, but I have yet to understand / figure out how to record audio. I'm having no problems using my MIDI keyboard, but I want to record vocals either through the built-in microphone on my laptop (using Windows 7) or through an external mic I have which can plug into laptop (not through USB, just straight in next to the headphone jack). I'm not that great with computers and I'm quite lost, so any help, in the simplest beginner terms possible, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! |

Hi there. Though relatively new, here, I am a bit surprised that - after 194 hits - no one has responded to your query. I know that this post is over two months old, and that you may have worked things out, but I thought that I might chime in anyway. I don't know about the route you were taking, in trying to get your vocals down, because I had never experienced any success in traveling down that same avenue. It was only after purchasing an Audio Interface that I succeeded in getting my vocals laid down. If you are still having that issue, I would suggest that you look into one. Good luck. Nathan |
