| I've got a Windows 7 PC with an athlon 5000 and 3 gb Ram and a soundblaster 5.1. I use reason 4, and am thinking of buying a Music-Keyboard. Is there a possibility, that the Keyboard-latency with this soundcard will be okay, for example with asio, or do i have to buy a new Soundcard? |

Just go to Edit->Preferences->Audio and look at your Output Latency. Anything under 15ms is fine for live recording with a keyboard (the lower the better obviously). If it's too high, try lowering the buffer size, try selecting different Audio Card Drivers in the drop down box, and play with the settings in the Control Panel, and download ASIO4ALL if you haven't already. |
