| Having always used hardware in the past - from DX7/M1/D-50 etc in the 80's, to M3/Motif/Virus etc these days - I have never taken the software approach seriously; at least not beyond sequencing. Earlier this year I saw Reason 5 in action for the first time and subsequently invested in it myself. I don't know what words to use, other than Reason 5 is amazing. It has pretty much made my Virus and Blofeld redundant. I can see the M3 and Motif heading that way as well I was considering getting the new Korg Kronos - it's a great bit of kit, but Reason 5 has made this totally unnecessary for me. What can I say? I have seen the light! Software (at least Reason) is the way forward! Plus it'll keep the wife happy as she can't stand all my synths taking up valuable space! Thanks Propheads! iix. |
