Unhappy Need help with Midi in reason

Okay so I have reason 5, M audio fast track, a casio ctk 720 keyboard and a windows 7 64 bit desktop computer

I used to plug the keyboard into the M audio and then into the computer and use reason with no problems, but I recently had to restore my computer to factory settings. I have installed every thing (all the drivers and everything) the same way it was installed before, but now for some reason it does not work any more.

I go to edit, preferences, keyboards and control surfaces, I click add, I select M Audio then select <other> ((Midi keyboard (no controls))) then I hit find for midi input, I press a few keys on the keyboard and nothing happens. I used to use the same settings and when I hit find then press buttons on the keyboard it finds the midi signals and everything is okay, but now it doesn't work.

I need help, if anyone knows how to fix this please help.

This is just a thought and Im almost sure you checked already, but you did use 64bit and not 32bit drivers for the CTK 720 right?

Yes I did. I though that that was the problem but I double checked. This is really starting to get to me, I know it worked before!

You mean Fast Track Pro, right? Fast Track doesn't have a keyboard input.

If I remember correctly, the CTK 720 has a USB connector. Have you tried plugging it into the computer directly (instead of the interface)?

Hey, did you solve this problem?

I have virtually the same nightmare going on. Bought Reason 6.... new drivers for 64 win 7...axiom 61...all installed and recoginsed as correct and working...reason recognises and detects the keyboard...but doesn't detect any midi data....is doing my head in

I'm having a very similar problem. Reason 6, Mac OS X 10.7 , no matter what midi input I use (I've tried midisport and Focusrite Saffire Pro 10), I can trigger instruments no problem , but Reason (V6) just doesn't record any of the data, However it will if I use the internal on screen keyboard !

This is driving me nuts !

Any body got any ideas ....

Thanks

Chris

Problem solved, just need to add a control keyboard in the Control Surfaces preferences, got the hint from another post in this forum....not sure how to post link to that thread....

Default Yamaha PSR-S710 not triggering Reason 6

Hello,
I see that I'm having some difficulties similar to other users. I have installed a new version of REason 6 with the ignition key and am simply trying to use my USB yamaha kbd as a controller. Everything is hooked up in preferences fine, the PSR drivers are installed (Mac OS 6) although the "IN" light is on, the "OUT" light which indicates the incoming midi information doesn't light up.

It has actually worked a couple times in the past couple days but only for a few seconds.

Any ideas?
