Default Individual notes help

hey, is their a way to change the volume of a single note from a group. For example, if i opened dr rex and i had a kick and a snare, is their a way to change the volume of the kick so its not at the same volume of the snare? or do i have to load two different dr rex's and use one for a kick and one for a snare then use the mixer to change the volume?? thanks

Yes there is a way to do that. On the rex player, you will see the loop in wave form in the middle. At the top left of that, you will see a button "select slice via midi". With this on, you can see where/when what slice is being played. Alternately, you could audition them straight from the sequencer. Underneath the display window, there is a set of parameter knobs. You can scroll through each individual slice from the slice knob, or just mouse-click on the one you want to edit. Once a slice is selected, there is a volume knob. Adjust that accordingly and you are good to go. Keep in mind that doing this might make the loop sound choppy due to sound tails that you are turning down.

This is actually how it is done with Dr. Rex in Reason 4 (just realized that). The same applies with Octo-Rex, but with more options and flexibility. Hope this helps, good luck!
