Default RE:

As I'm a new member and I'm on my second post at the moment, I can't post a link to a youtube video that explains how to master in Reason.

Hopefully this will work, just add this onto the end of www youtube com / : watch?v=9_9mb4YpBUk

Check this out. It is drum'n'bass but it shows you the rough idea of how each part of the mastering suite works.

If it helps, compressor settings don't need to pushed too far. Loudness Curve, Punch, EQ Boost and Master Gain on the mastering suite is all dependant on your preference. Mastering is a MASSIVE grey area simply because it's all up to you and how you want it to sound. Experiment with it but general rule is to not overdo compression.

Mastering is indeed an art. I am just learning how to do it in Reason and still use my other tools to master, but am trying to get into Reason and use it for everything.

I also use real guitars and drums which so far I cannot find a way to import into Reason and have sound good so I play them seperate and master the whole mix in a different program.

I made several mastering tutorials myself. But I am not interested into mastering anyones tracks since I am quite busy lately.

Save the guitar and drum tracks as WAVs and import them via either NNXT or NN19, surely?
