Default COMPLETE noob question for Reason 4 users

I've just started using reason and have been watching tutorials online...

I can not, for the life of me, figure out how to play what I've made after manipulating settings in subtractor. Nothing shows up automatically in arrange mode or edit mode.

I'm probably overlooking it, but I've been here for hours trying to figure it out, I can easily save my beats from things like drumkits, but there's no such option when I use subtractor. Please help

Forgive the question, but have you drawn in a clip and notes?

I'm a complete noob to producing music, I don't know how to draw in notes, as I said, I got drum patches to work and everything, but this question is beyond amateur and I can not even find tutorials for something that should be so obvious. I've followed tutorials for making dubstep type synth wobbles, but without drawing in notes nothing plays for me to record and then edit it. I apologies for such a ridiculous question but any help would be excellent.

Just click on the Pencil Tool and draw in where you want to have a tone.
