Default redrum/dr. rex not working

I just got reason, and I'm having a little problem.. all the synth instruments work except redrum and dr. rex. For instance, when I add a loop using dr. rex, the sound just doesn't play. I can see the light blinking in the rack showing that it's playing, but theres no sound..

Any ideas?

I have already used demos and tutorials to learn how to add it.. the problem is that they play no sound.. only the synth instruments will play. I can't even preview the loops in the actual loop player. They don't play after I add them to the sequencer either.

Same thing with redrum..
