Hello All,

Since a short while I've been experiencing something strange in Reason 4.0.

Whenever I start playing/recording a beat with already sounds in the sequencer .. my other devices (NNXT, Dr. Rex whatever) will drop in sound volume (quite some) and will remain on that level afterwards, no matter what I try. Only with the ReDrum I seem not to have the problem.

I have the same problem when only the NNXT and I press play with the metronome on (when recording for example), to record the sample sequence.

I absolutely have NO idea where this is coming from, and I'm hoping anyone out here can help me with it.

Sheesh ... thats a strange thing indeed !

But do you remember if you did something before you had this problem ? , like : switching things in the Mastering Suite for example ? ( EQ , Compressor , maximiser ?)

Or , did you adjust something IN your soundcard-settings ? ...

Anyhow , im curious as well now ... (You never know when you get questions like this again in the near future )

not that I recall (making changes in either Mastering Suite or soundcard settings). I actually tried it without everything (incl mastering suite) and the problem still was there.

No solution found neither.

Problem still remains ...

I figured out now that when I play one single track (lets say the sample) right after it dropped in volume it slowely increases in volume again .. till its very loud.
Then when I play the whole track again it goes back to a decreased volume ..

Any help ?! I can 'solve' it by mixing it louder in the whole mix, but when sending loose tracks to an engineer its incredibly difficult cause the sound of one single track/layer just increases in the proces of playing/saving.

Can't it be a bug ? Anyone.. Problem never left, even after I reinstalled everything

I've got a simular problem, when i turn op the Vol. of the Malstrom it pushes away the beats in the NN19 sampler

How stupid or not, apparently the driver update I installed 2 weeks ago didn't do the right job because of the fact I probably Installed it wrong.

I checked the driver site of my computer (medion) again and found an other update there, installed it and now the problem is solved!

Try to do that fritsclub!
