Default Reason location marker always two beats ahead when ReWired

When Cubase is playing, the marker at say, beat 68.1 will display at 68.3 in Reason. Is there any way to correct this? It is very confusing. The marker that shows where you are in the song is always ahead of where it actually is.

Not a fix, per se, but what if you shift your entire song to the 3rd beat in reason?

Well, then it would play 2 beats ahead -- I should clarify that it PLAYS correctly, but the display in Reason indicates it as ahead of where it really is in the song. This makes it very difficult to (for example) follow along/edit a beat in the drum lane, since the marker does not indicate playback's actual location of the song.

This is not a problem when using Reason alone, only when using ReWire.

Ah, ok. The reason I asked is that I spotted a similar problem in a search on this, but between cubase and FL studio- someone posed that question and never received an answer... and I just realized my question was backward and I meant shift the song in cubase.

BTW, I haven't seen much discussion of Cubase on here, so I think your best bet might be either

or

Best of luck

Cool thanks for the suggestions. The weird thing is that I'm experiencing this on two different computers, with two different very different versions of Cubase (SX3 and 5.1) which leads me to believe that the problem is probably not specific to Cubase... But what really surprises me is that I haven't been able to find other reports of this problem, considering that it has been a consistent problem for me across multiple instances of Reason/ReWire on multiple independent computers for years now. Bizarre.

That IS bizarre. I wonder if there is some midi clock setting in respect to this... a latency adjustment? very strange.
