Red face How do I use a Refill Drum Pack properly?

I'm a rookie at Refill Drum Packs. The file needs to be opened within Reason, should I use NN-XT or is there a better way to open and properly use a Refill Drum Pack?

Also, just recorded mp4 guitar riffs from buddy's iphone, then cut them in Adobe Soundbooth and saved them as wav files. Next I am planning to use Record 1.5 for Reason 4.1. Any suggestions or better ways to get recorded instrument and vocals into reason tower to add with synths?

Thanks for the help...

Refill drum pack: really kind of depends what format it's in, if they are .wav or .aif files, then they need to be opened as samples in an NN19 or NNXT. If they are .rex or .rx2 they can be opened w/dr. rex as well as the samplers.

Guitar: If you have Recycle you can cut them into slices and open w/Dr. Rex, if not, what I tend to do is take note of the BPM, chop them up by measures (or multiple measures at a time) and open them as samples in an NNXT in a song set to the tempo of the guitar track. It can be a pretty tedious process finding the tempo, but if you get really close and you've chopped the the samples by small enough increments it won't matter so much, because before you can hear it going out of time you'll be switching to a new measure w/a new clip aligned to it.

Anybody out there with a better process/tips?

First of all, you may see problems with your health if you are using and working near reloaded toner refills. Access the hinge pin that isolates the OPC Drum from the toner supply chamber in order to remove the contact plate.

Apologies for the late update. Got myself a toner refill kit from an Aussie eBay seller and installed it. The Kong drum presets are also very useful. Hell I'll use the Redrum preset sounds if need be.
