Default Mixing in "real time"

I am somewhat new to the Reason interface and thus would like to pose a question for all of you pioneers out there:

How do I mix in "real time?" Specifically, adjusting volumes, so the effect is saved as a permanent thing. Please help.

Chris

If you mean setting it up so volume etc changes over time, right click the fader (or any other control) and click "edit automation." This creates an automation track where you can draw a clip and record or draw in automations.
