Default Using Lanes?? I need a little help!

Hi one and all, I've just got Reason 4 since using Reason 3 for a very long time. Needless to say it's very different and is taking me a little while to get used to the changes. I've kinda got the idea around this whole clip thing now, but I'm struggling with the lanes. I know they sound simple.....but the prob I'm having is that I thought I'd be able to mess around with a vocal sample (as it's staying on C3.....)....now in Reason 3, the downside was that you couldn't really do much without starting the vocal all over again and couldn't chop and change parts without using another sampler. Now this idea of a 'new note lane' looked to me like a way of basically eliminating that problem and allowing you to mess around with vox a bit more.....but I opened a new lane, used the pencil to draw a note, which overlapped the first lane note..the idea being, I'd get a staggered vocal and then edit the automations and stuff....but once one ends the new lane stopped playing also????? Is there a way to get both playing at overlapping times?? Can someone start a private message convo with me, so i can really ask some advice around this? I'd really appreciate any help! Thanks a lot

What you could do is use the same vocal bit inside the NN-XT twice. Set the Low/High Key different so they are only triggered at a specific note (Lets say for instance B2, and the other on C3). Make sure that the Root knob is set on the exact same key though (otherwise it will sound pitched up/pitched downwards).

In this setup you are able to use just one note lane, edit the automation and do everything you need to do with one sampler.
