I'm experimenting with using a combinator to play a not from an NN-XT and a synth into a vocoder. I created a little wave file with my voice saying "test test test" and uploaded that into NN-XT after initializing it. Now, for vocoding, this isn't a big deal, but I was wondering how you tell the NN-XT to time stretch your samples to compensate for the difference in playback speed as you play it with a higher note value. In other words, how do you get "test test test" to sound higher but last just as long time-wise as the original sample? Or is this even possible?

Might be that I'm tired, but I'm pretty sure you'll have to either trick it by placing a copy of the sample into multiple zones and setting the root key to that note (fine for vocoding, since the pitch comes from the carrier signal), or bring the sample into an audio editor and raise the pitch that way if you want it to work w/o the vocoder.
