Default Full Version Reason vs Academic

I am student and qualify for the Academic version of reason 3.0. Is there a major difference between the full version and the Academic version ? I am new to Pro-Tools and just learning the recording end for my home studio, I am not a high tech guy, so I'm thinking less might be better for me right now.

It is my understanding that if I do go with the Academic version, I can not upgrade. So that is my delema! Any thoughts on this subject?

tomyco...from what Amazon.com explains on their site,

College Students, Teachers & Religious organization music leaders qualify for lower priced academic edition.

No Difference in software between retail and academic edition

You must provide verification of academic status.

Academic edition can only be sold to customers in the US.
Synthesizers, samplers, drum machine, ReCycle-based loop player, mixer, effects, pattern sequencer and more.
