Default Axiom25 drumpads issue

i am trying to record drums using the drumpads in my axiom 25.But for some reason when i hit the drum pads even tough the sound is reaching the mixer just fine the little redrum keyboard in the transport window doesn't light up,and when im recording nothing gets recorded. If i use the keys in the axiom 25 however the sound does reaches the transport window and it does get recorded,so the problem seems to be with the drumpads?

I wonder what "keys" reason is interpreting the drumpads as. Redrum recognizes C1 and the next 9 keys.

i dont know what u mean.im sorry if i dont seem clear but english is my second language,im good atgeneral english but when it comes to explaining things i do in my computer well, its kinda difficult. But my drumpads are set to play the drum samples from redrum, the same samples can be played with the keys.when i use the drumpads the signal reaches the mixer and such, but in the transport window the little keyboard icon doesnt receive the signal and when i set recording it wont record even tough im playing.Weird little things like these keep happening and are putting a halt to my projects and im more than a little frustrated,im thinking about installing windows on my mac just so i can use FL Studio

Heck, you've got me stumped, but there were a bunch of results when doing a google search that might help: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&r...=&oq=&gs_rfai=

I've got this same keyboard but I've not really used the drum pads for anything just yet. I'll try it when I get home later.

You might try again, just for testing, to see if using the regular keys on the keyboard works when you record. I know by default the piano keys will trigger different sounds in redrum... I think.

Something else I've noticed with other devices is that I have to right-click on a particular knob or button and click Edit Automation to get it to add a new lane for midi info to be recorded into. For instance, with a matrix sequencer, I could click on the matrix in the transport window and see the keyboard light up when I press buttons, but when I hit record and start pushing the buttons on the pattern bank in matrix, nothing would be recorded. After enabling automation it seemed to do the trick.

"After enabling automation it seemed to do the trick."
...I'm pretty sure that's the way it's supposed to work.
