just trying to trouble shoot the issue here, but does the exact same thing happen when you would for instance load up a demo song?

Reverb or delay w/maxed out decay between the mixer and hardware device? Other than that I can only think of the sound card or something to do with midi settings, and even that doesn't really make sense

Sounds like it could be a Midi problem, Never thought this issue would happen after all these years ... I presume you are using keyboard midi out to computer and midi in from computer. Things to check :- 1. That your keyboard is not resending on the midi thru or out what it has received from the computer ( in the good old days known as a midi loop feedback ). This will cause infinity. I used to set it up so that the keyboard could only recieive on one channel, and that all note played from computer were on alternative channels. If your keyboard cannto be set up like this then you will have to unplug the midi in to the keyboard when you are recording and the midi out when you are playing ( I dont use a keyboard anymore much, I usually imagine the notes playing but say some I am insane too lol). Of course I do then input on step time what I have imagined. 2. The midi cable may be too long ( distance between keyboard and computer is over 1 metre ) or broken, which could cause something called a propagation delay, but point 1 is most likely to be the cause. Kind Regards, US2K ( aka Nigel Ian Bulley ) __________________ |
