Default Which DAW is best for home recording?

I'm trying to answer this question for my degree's research project. If you have an opinion on Reason or any other DAW please can you take my survey, it will take 5min and will be a great help for my project.

Slight problem with the survey: Reason doesn't record audio, it wires into programs that do

another problem I have with the survey here: why define FX, Reverb and EQ as seperate? Isn't Reverb supposed to be an effect? What makes it so special to have it as a separate question. Same thing would go for EQ. Better question for the EQ'ing would be: how many bands can you EQ? Whats the lowest/highest frequencies.

Most of these questions are probably a bit 'stupid' though. It's like asking: Can you input text in Notepad?

Midi? Any daw has Midi... if not, its probably already phased out by now...

Might want to look into USING a DAW before asking questions about DAWs if you would ask me...

Or am I being blunt and direct? (i would say yes... since thats the way I can be from time to time ))
