Hi Reason users and devs!
Is there any support for JACK under Reason OSX? I'd love to be able to sync Reason (pref. v3) with my Ardour sessions via JACK but Reason doesn't seem to play with JACK- is there a JACK plugin or may we see JACK support in R5?
I wouldn't be using OSX at all if we could buy Reason for Linux- why oh why don't you port to Linux? Linux is a UNIX variant like OSX of course but offers lower latencies (via JACK and RT kernel), lower entry/running costs, more customisation options and more hardware support than OSX AND there is currently no real competition. There's only really energyXT2 (commercial) and LMMS (FOSS) but neither provide a fully-fledged alternative to Reason so what are you waiting for?? You'd corner the market overnight and free thousands from the "cult-of-Jobs" who'd otherwise be happier/ prefer to be running Linux.
Just after 'more commercial games' pro-music and video software is what everyone has been screaming out for under Linux for years and indie game devs have discovered that Linux users are more than willing to pay for good quality commercial/non-free software. Not everybody shares shares RMS's anti-closed source stance - in fact very few do. A 64Studio/ UbuntuStudio port would be a dream come true but I'd be happy just to get Reason synced/ outputting to JACK under OSX.
