| I use reason and ableton live for live performing. In my band, we are just two, and we play a lot of instruments in each song, not just reason+ableton live —in those, of course, we trigger (correct?) our sequences and pre recorded samples and voices. In our shows we spend a lot of time going for one song to other, 'cause we work with a Mac iBookG4 —that works very good, but very slower if various projects are open at same time— and we shall close current project to open the next, in both programs each time. And that's very fuc(%n' borinnng!! Question: there is a way to queueing —is this correct written and used?— our projects to play a set without interruptions? Please help. Thanks a lot! check our myspace site! www.myspace.com/menteblindadamusic Darbo |

Now I'm no expert I've been using reason for a fairly little time but I do believe I can contribute some information. Now Have you ever heard of Reason 3 Power? This is an E-book which I have and is very indepth about reason. Hope that can help you in some way. _SG_ |

Man, i saw it. i looked for it in internet and i noticed it costs about 10 dollars. Of course that's not so much money but… well, better no comments. Maybe in a few days i would get it. But in the meantime, there is another answer? Something else: i've read the table of contents and i didn't found a subject about live performances. could you try to found something in your copy and tell me if there's something? thnx a lot. I'm not at home right now but once I get there I'll check its in pdf format so I can do a built-in search with no problem. Again I didn't just point you to the e-book for live performances specifically it was just for an overall guide to reason. But I will do that check. _SG_ |

Here is the method i use: 1) Convert your reason projects to either Audio or Midi (preferebly audio if ur using Ableton). U do this by File --> Export Song as Audio (or Midi)... 2) Import the mixed down reason files in ableton. 3) Separate the projects by about four beats. 4) Now all you will have to do is queue up the projects on 1 program. Does that answer your question? I'm sorry if it doesn't, but when i perform with reason i have all my songs mixed down on

This could be the only answer, i'm afraid. The thing is that, when we perform, probably we need to make some changes on the fly —EQ, mostly, or a semi-fix on the mix—, then, when we will get "ripped" the reason files" that capability will disappear. But, well, this could be the only way, i really hope it isn't. Thanks. Darbo |
