Default losing WAV position in NN19

Hello,

I'm using the NN19 device to import WAV data with plans of adding bass to it.
Here is what I do: I load the WAV as a sample into the NN19, create a healthy sized clip in the sequencer and I draw in the sample into the clip using the pencil.

Problem and related misery is, that the NN19 ceases to read the WAV when I position the notator or the loop markers over the parked-in note. It seems to me that the only way to trigger the WAV is to start the sequencer from the very start of the data. The NN19's default behavior seems to lack dynamic awareness of WAV position, which makes the workflow I had in mind a proper time in hell.

So I'm pretty sure I fail epically at recognizing a magical switch/technique/device - or ALL - here.

I'd like to be able to stay in touch with the rehearsed WAV data on the fly, so I could focus on any area of it to build luscious stuff around it in Reason.

This flexibility itself is what I'd like to achieve, so, if there are known methods of doing this using an entirely different technique and/or device, then please inform me of that. Thank you for your time.

Not really the answer to his Q ! .... rofl

I think i got several options to achieve this ... , Reason is a pain in the ass when it comes to samples (Besides single-shots ...) , Specially the problem youve just described ...

1) Recycle the sample you have ...

2) Loop the wav (So it runs constantly) , and mute/unmute the channel when needed ( Or just use the volume-slider)

3) Take a look into Rewiring ... , this way you have all things you need ! ( I Am rewiring as well into Cubase 5 , works like a charm ! , specially when you wanna add some "live" guitar/ vocals init ...
