I posted this before here but I’m doing it once again adding more details. Please read & reply.
Well my setup is a Motif ES6 with an mlan interface & I use a PC with XP on it.I use the Mlan to record into cubase & somehow I’ve set it up to dump tracks from my ES onto Cubase,Nuendo.I’m not too sure how it works but it works fine.Recently I installed Reason4 just to use some of its loops. With some difficulty I set it up to communicate with Mlan.I am now able to transfer midi data into Reason & trigger the tones in Reason using my ES.Now here is the problem: When I play on the motif to send midi data or trigger the sound on reason, the sound I hear is a phased & slightly distorted sound. Now after I play & record on Reason & then play it directly from Reason without the sound is crystal clear with no phasing.I even tried selecting the PC’s built in sound card & I still get the phasing sound while playing through my ES.When I play directly on Reason using just my mouse on the virtual keyboard/drum machine it does not phase. The midi data that goes from my keyboard also seems fine.I know there must be a simple solution to this.Maybe the sound while going or coming is getting 2 signals at the same time that is causing it to phase. Please let me know how to go about. Thanks & have a blessed new year.
