Hi all, I've just joined this forum as I've got Reason 4 and a mates old Novation Remote 25 keyboard hooked up for the first time.

I've recorded a short 8 bar piece using the NN19 sampler and want to add a synth or something over the top of it. The problem is that there's no sound after I load up a second instrument whether it be another NN19, a Dr. REX, Subtractor etc... I can play the old audio but I can't record anything else.

Reason still recognises it, the 'Note On' light lights up, the keyboard in the bottom left goes green, it's armed for record and the notes come up in the recording space if I record, but I can't hear it.

It's probably something mega easy. If it is, I'm sorry for the daft question

I'm using a MacBook Pro if it makes any difference. Thanks, Keith

I've discovered what I'd been doing, or not doing as the case turned out.

I didn't have a mixer in my rack...
