Hooking up Reason 4 with Motif ES (mlan )

Can someone tell me how to hook up my motif es which has a built in Mlan to reason 4.When I tried ,the reason sounds are distorted & phasing .Unfirtunately on r4 the drop down does not specify yamaha keyboards.What do I do?
