Default Reason is not auto loading certain Refills

I have always been aware that if you move a refill from its original folder Reason would inquire its whereabouts at the next startup. Sadly this is not my case. All my refills are in the same folder and location they have always been in since I installed them.

Problem:
Whenever I initiate Reason 4 it always asks me to insert the disk or locate certain refills within my project (it always locates the factory refills). This is not only very annoying but also very time consuming.

Can someone please help me with this matter?

My guess is , that you havent completed te full setup ... ,

Once reason said it has been installed , leave the disc in the tray !

Open Reason with the icon on your desktop .

Now the soundbanks will be installed ... (leave it untill you reach the main screen of Reason ...)

Once youve done that , you can add your own refills again ...

So my advise , backup all your projects ... , and re-install !

Thanks for the reply. I am definitely going to try it but for the records this problem some how same to have occurred arbitrarily. My system worked perfectly for 2 years straight.

After installing the factory sounds, should I put my additional refills in the same location as my factory folders (Orkester etc)?

Thanks for the help

That doesnt matter (best is to replace them on their original/old place from before the reinstall , cos the created projects contains info about the paths and locations on your HD about 3rd party refills ...)

But the problem occured suddenly , .. thats a strange thing indeed ... , never heard it before though ... , somehow my feeling says its a register f*ck-up ... but i cant be sure ...

But ... , you should give the re-install a go (again .. make sure you make backups ! _ projects / own created patches etc ...)

Let us (or me ...) hear if it worked for you .. !

Greetzzzzzzzzz and good luck !

(PS sorry for my "English" , i am a foreigner ... lol)
