Exclamation Hello May anyone help me out.

Alright just to start off, I need help with recording something between abletonlive and reason. Can anyone help out. The sound comes out real loud and static y and its annoying, It takes the real sound quality from the guitar and messes it up. It especially does that with the low notes while playing on a guitar. Is there a way to decrease this sound and make it perfectly come out. What about a guitar pedal.

Ok ... ill give it a shot ...

First of all , i would like to know what gear you are working with ... (soundcard << ASIO ? , and how do you connect your guitar ? straight into your soundcard ? or with a external amplifier?)

Why i need to know this , is because ive allready had familiar problems in my friend's "studio" ...

When he started , he just connected his elec-guitar into the mic-in on his Sounblaster 2 ... it did work ...but the quality was bad ...

Well , let us know your setup , and maybe we can sort it out ...

Woot. hello there.
Well my sound card is an audigy 4. I use a line from the guitar to go into my xiosynth.right next to the mic plug, its input 2 it says. I put a pedal with a guitar and it was better but real shitty still. I was thinking of a way to connect an amp to the xiosynth but i donno how to do that.
Thank you for replying and good bye.

Well , i think its the fact a guitar needs to be pre-amped , before you lead it into your computer/mixer
I dont know if your xiosynth does this .. but my guess is "no" ...

For sofar what you need is a piece of hardware like an Behringer UCG102 (Dont know the quality of these things , but ... enough choices ... )

You should have a search on your local sound-shop ...

Greetzzzzzzzzzz

and off course good luck !

Thank you for your dedication and time, i got to fix it a little bit. now it sounds really bland for a guitar, but nothing that editing adding reverb cannot fix!
now. i have a new issue which is this. I have to switch my audio card to record, and then to listen, i want to hear what i play in real time, and i want to play with that, but i am having issues with that.
