Default Recording Reason as Audio in Cubase

Can anyone help me with this problem?
I am trying to use reason with rewire in cubase but my problem is that I can't seem to record the audio from reason into cubase. Any tips? I have opened the reason device window and have the reason audio coming through as a stereo mix but the rewire channel does not give me the 'record enable' button. Do I have to route this into an audio channel before i can record? If so how can I set up the buses to do this? I cannot choose an "out bus" as an input into a usual audio channel. Hope there is someone out there using reason and cubase in this way.

Cheers

i am running reason 3 with cubase SX 3.11 i have 1 gig of ram and 1.6 GHz centrino duo ?? i think.
