Default how bring vocals (rap) in reason without hardware except microphone?

Hi yall,

After about 30 years only listening to rap I decided to take up the mike myself
I got the REason 4 progrsmm and a PC.
No hardware even not a microphone (just a build in one in the pc I think)
I just can afford to buy a cheap one for at the most 30 bucks. I've been told thats enough for a non-commercial lowbudget MC like me
What else do I need ?(Recycle ?)
How do i record my lyrics in reason ?

Well, Reason can't exactly have vocals put right into it. What I do is rewire my Reason with a program called Cubase. This basically makes Reason and Cubase work as one program. So I would look up Cubase and ReWiring and that should solve your problem. Also, if you find your computer is too slow for rewiring, try exporting your reason song and importing it in to cubase.

From what it sounds like, just exporting your song as an Audio File from Reason, then opening the audio file in Cubase would be your best bet.

Doesn't sound like you need to do any advanced editing.

No Cubase is pretty simple for what you want to do. Basically just import your audio track and then add a mono track to record on.

Default Wish I Had Known Reason Doesn't Record Vocals

I don't have a big budget, and the whole point of my buying Reason was so that I would't HAVE to purchase ProTools or Cubase. But, on my old computer I downloaded some very inexpesive software called n-Track Studio for about $49.00 which recorded vocals just fine, so I did the same thing again; then exported what I did in Reason to n-Track as a wave file so I could record the vocal tracks to it there; and then used the NN-XT Digital Sampler to "sample" the resulting wave file, enabling me to play, record, and add the finishing effects to the vocals in Reason. (Except the program now costs about $86.00, but that still beats the price of Cubase and ProTools by a long shot.)

Record each verse as a separate audio file then put it into a ReDrum Drum Computer as a drum sample, turn the length up all the way and trigger it when you want the vocals to come in.
