| say i speed up and slow down the delay rate on an intstrument mid recording... the changes won't save, and on first impression, i'd say there is no way to automate this... but i want to so bad! the sound i want to create depends on it! help? anyone? |

hehe, you got it all wrong, with reason, almost everything is possible... and the automatization process is as easy as 1... 2... 3... So, here's what you need to do: Create a sequencer track for the delay (reverb, or whatever effect you want), arm it for recording just like you would do for any other synth... press record, and start playing with the knobs... when you are done, hit stop, and you will see that everything you touched while recording, was automated. Just to make myself clear, i have attached you a sample file, with an automated delay. Download it, open it.. and see how it works. I am sure you will get it to work for yourself. Now, there are other methods to do it, but this is the easiest one (if you are a beginner), and it will work perfect. Hope this helps.. cheers, Andrei |
