Hi guys I have Reason 3.0 and a Yamaha MOTIF 6 synth and I am trying to hook it up to reason via USB like a friend of mine did with no problems.

I installed YamahaMOTIF drivers but when I go into reason preferences and my friend who also has a Yamaha told me it wasn't listed under type so we went to

OTHER: and MIDI w/Controls. Then he clicked on FIND and pressed a key on his Yamaha and it recofnized which USB port. However, mine has 3 options as can be seen here



and when I click find and press keys on the Yamaha, Reason just will not recognize it. I have no idea where to go from here and was wondering if anyone could help. I also included a screenshot of it asking me about my Sound Card which gave me a lot of options here:

I have a creative Soundblaster Audigy2 sound card




So if anyone can give me any more information on how I would hook up this Yamaha and get reason to recognize it I would REALLY appreciate it.

Any ideas?

well with my triton i was having the sam problem, but you have to manually hook it up meaning find your midi port thru reason and make sure you are coming out from the Yamaha

I installed YamahaMOTIF drivers but when I go into reason preferences then I went to OTHER: and MIDI w/Controls. Then he clicked on FIND and pressed a key on the Yamaha and nothing happens. I manually selected motif xs6 and selected apply, but I am not able to here anything sound from my comupter. Also, when I try to record, I am unable to.


So if anyone can give me any more information on how I would hook up this Yamaha and get reason to recognize it I would REALLY appreciate it.
