hey all, i'm using reason 4.0 with my band for live use. I have an m-audio keystation 49e and an m-audio oxygen smaller board. I want to set up a different sound on each board, but am having trouble.

I'm on a mac also. So, in preferences, advanced control, i set up my keystation 29e to be Bus A, and my oxygen to be Bus B.
I then select which instrument i want to play from each bus from the device list. Now, this seems to have no effect. Which ever device i highlight (so the red line is around it) will play on both keyboards.

Am i right in thinking i have to do something with the adv. midi device at the top? I tried something with this too to no avail. What i did was in Bus A under adv. midi device, selected my first sound under channel 1. Then on Bus B, i selected my second sound under channel 1 also. This time, my keystation would play both sounds on top of each other but the oxygen only 1 sound.


Please help! I'm sure its quite simple but i'm really struggling!

Is the Keystation assigned as Masterkeyboard ? (Try to un-assign it ...)

Dont know if u have a solution allready ... but if you will , you may add me on MSN ..., i dont have the solution right now for you , also searched the I-net for similar problems (no luck though ...) ...

I feel this could be a simple one ... , cos i have 3 pieces of hardware connected w/o problems between them (an E-MU X-board , a Behringer BCF2000 , and a Korg PadKontrol ...) , the only difference between you and me is the OS (im on XP , you're on MAC .. , but my guess is this wont be much different from eachother ...)

Well , just let me know ...
