Problem with scream distortion unit/corrupt songs:

I was happily creating a song when suddenly I realised that when I close the program down, and re-open my song, the scream distortion sounds wrong.
When I leave it playing and open an old version of the song, suddenly it continues playing sounding fine. So basically, whenever I restart the program, I have to open the old file to fix the bug.
I recreated everything I did with the old song file and it sounded fine. So I thought problem solved. But then later the same thing happend to that one, so I have to open an older version to fix the bug. I actually dont mind doing this as it takes a couple of seconds. But I am worried that more problems may come up with corruption of my song and pretty soon I wil have worked for weeks on something which wont be fixed by opening the old song file.
I have used reason for 6 or 7 years and encountred this once before, but I cannot remember the circumstances.
I have not tested my song files on another computer yet, I think if it is a soundcard issue then it will work fine on my pc(I am having this problem on my laptop). But if it is a soundcard issue, how would opening an older song fix it? It sounds like a software bug to me.
If anyone has any ideas or patchs that can fix this please reply here.
Moderators I know you must look at this forum sometimes, and probably use the program? I need your help.
Reason is my favorite music program but if this keeps happening I will have to use something else, as having corrupt songs isnt my idea of feeling secure with my productions.

I too had some glitches with the Scream thingy. Usually when I exported the song, Scream'ed devices sounded like a high pitched noise. I almost blew my speakers this way.
