dr REX clicks all of a sudden

Hello,
I'm really hoping someone can help me out. I was having no problems prior to today. The issue I'm having is that dr rex slices will play normally when i load them for a little while, like 2 minutes or so, then they will stop playing and just click. It almost sounds like it is playing the first .1 seconds of the slice so it just sounds like a click or a pop. Running Reason 4 on an Macbook pro on OS 10.4.11.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

update:
saved reason songs that used to play fine now have the same problem. What is going on?!!

deleting and reinstalling the program fixed it
