| I am having trouble running Reason as a Rewire slave application to Ableton Live - every time I attempt to open it in this way both Reason and Live crash, with a little message balloon popping up to say: "Live 7.0.3 was closed To help protect your computer, Data Execution Prevention [DEP] has closed Live 7.0.3." Live and FL Studio rewire together with no problems, so there must be something going wrong on Reason's side. If I rewire FL Studio and Reason, they both crash with the same message. I am running Vista 64-bit on a Dell Studio 15 laptop. I have used these same programs many times on other computers with no problems. The only thing I can think that might be causing the problems is the 64-bit OS. I have tried using different drivers (DX/MME/ASIO4ALL) but to no avail. I have also tried disabling DEP completely but somehow the error messages keep appearing! Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated! Cheers, Jonny |

Not sure what the problem is, but just want to make sure that you know to open the daw first and then Reason. Joe |

Just for the benefit of anyone reading this in future - I managed to get around the problem by upgrading from Reason 3.5 to 4.
