Default Using what you have made in reason to perform live

Me and a mate have both been piecing things together in reason for about a year now and we want to start thinking about how to take it to the next level and perform what we have made live.

We want to use as little backing tracks as possible so as much as can be actually played on a keyboard etc the better.

So like for example this track here http://files.getdropbox.com/u/100209...bly%20Lost.mp3

it has several tracks but lets say for arguments sake, we just had drums, strings, piano, and that distorted really hollow lead sound.

so ive got some subsequent questions.

1: Can you export the drum sounds you make in reason (including all the separate eq, compression, and maximiser i have added separately to the redrum track) and import them into an electric kit so that a drummer would be able to play the exact sounds i have made in reason on a kit.

2: Can you export the synthesiser presets (strings, piano etc) that i have for example made on NNXT with all the add ons (like reverb, distortion racks etc) into a keyboard.. does it for example need to have the ability to save presets into it.

For both of your questions you would have to basically export the samples and then convert them into whatever format you need to. There's some tools out there that do this depending on what you need to convert the samples to, I wouldnt know of any good ones because I dont do that but I'm sure google will help you out. You cant really take presets for synths though and take the parameters to an other program or keyboard because those presets are mapped specifically to the instrument device (subtractor, thor etc)

Well you know that's actually not a bad solution, although I'd say just use one laptop (it'd have to be powerful enough) and handle all the instruments in a rewire session with a more full fledged DAW that's geared toward live performances. I've thought about doing that but I can't because I have no band, lol.
