Default ReDrum question/settings

hello
my rack starts with:
- a combinator
- 6:2 mixer
- subtractor
- thor
- Scream 4

the subtractor, thor and scream 4 are connected to the combinator and then to the mixer

my question now is how can i create the ReDrum without goin through the Scream 4, cause when i add the ReDrum it is connected with the Scream 4 and i dont want that. i tried to create a second mixer, connect it with the redrum and then to the hardware device ( channel 3 and 4 ) but it couldnt make a sound? i dunno what to do, i just want clean ReDrum sounds without the Scream 4.

thanks for your help

Is this your default rack setup?

I use the larger mixer to start with and right click on it and select create - ReDrum. This should wire it directly to the mixer without chaining to any other devices.

The same would be true if you right-clicked on your 6:2 mixer and created it there. It should wire it directly to the mixer.

Alternately, you can hit the TAB key when viewing the rack and change the wiring manually.

Also, if you're not hearing any sound on outputs 3 and 4, you might have to configure your sound card in the audio preferences window. Click on "channels" and see what is there. You can also look at the top interface and see if there is a green light lit up for 3 and 4. It may be that your sound card only has a stereo output. If that's the case, you can only use outputs 1and 2.
