| the only things i am having trouble with are the sequencer, but that's another questions, and the arpeggiator and the matrix sequencer. i can use these two separately but is there any way of using them together in tandem? in flstudio you can do this by simply entering notes in the piano roll and then turning the arpeggiator on. but i cannot get this to work in reason. what i would want to do is have different arpeggiations being played and having the original note being triggered by the matrix. i know it may be kind of hard to visualise so i will try to explain a quick example (this is just off the top of my head); matrix set to 16 steps, on 1, 5, 9 and 13 you have notes being played on the matrix, all these notes are different. the arp would trigger a sequence at each of these different notes. is this possible at all with reason? i am assuming it is. it is probably something simple i am missing. btw i am also using the demo version and some features are disabled so maybe this is one of them. any help appreciated. thanks. |

Yes, it's possible. You need to put the arper in a combinator and then create the matrix and connect it to the combinator. But you should know something about arpeggiators: They're made for use with chords. As the matrix can only produce single note, the arp will only create sequences of this note or some octave shifting stuff. You'd need to enter legato sequences into the matrix (open gate over more notes). This will make the arp create sequences of this. Last edited by iGoA; April 20th, 2009 at 08:14. |
