| Anyway, does anyone know how to fine tune ones beats by getting a better note resolution, allowing you to put more notes into your loop. I generally put the "steps" up to 64 and edit them in their four parts 1-16, 17-32, etc. This just isn't enough, I end up with janky sounding drum fills and have to use the "flam" controllers to get more rapid sounding rolls. |

I think, you found it already. But anyway a redrum pattern can never have more then 64 steps. Think, that's his problem. In this case, it might be the best, to export the pattern to the sequencer track and edit the clip there. Then, you've the full sequencer resolution, but unlimited clip length. |

create a nice sounding pattern, it hasnīt have to have 64 steps... then make right-click (or ctrl-click, mr. mac) a select copy pattern to sequencer and it copys the pattern between your two loop marks. then turn the pattern device OFF. then get me a beer. now you have a nice optical szenario whats your drumsquence like and you can extend it to whaever you want. i just use the pattern device to get fast a beat, if i put the song together i use the sequencer itīs easier to alternate complex rhythms

ho ho ho thats funny SCEZ, but iGO and DREAM more or less answered my question. So yeah I usually copy pattern to track and edit from there. just kind of frustrating and long and in-accurate. It'd be nice if Reason/Redrum had a more in depth drum sequencer!
