My bassline is setup with a Thor and Subtractror synthesizer combined together through a combinator. The only problem is, when i go to set up a parameter automation lane with a master volume control, it does not offer me that option.

How can i set it up so that i can use volume parameter automation on the bassline?

Hi ...

Open up the combi , place the cursor on the THOR (Bass) , and right-click on the THOR ... , click on "Create Track for THOR"

Now u can automate all knobs on the THOR (including the master volume ...)

(PS this trick goes for all devices in reason ...)

For clarity I would use the programmer of the combinator to link one of the rotaries with the master volume of the devices inside the combi. Then automate this rotary. This keeps you having only one sequencer track for this combinator and all including devices. (which is the sense of a combinator btw)
