| That said, I've realized having little knowledge of music and the terminology doesn't help much. I've learned a lot recently about what each rack component can do, but I'm struggling with how and what ways to wore them together, sure Reason will automate it, but every time I want to do something different I have to rewire and it usually doesn't work. For instance, I wanted to send a drum beat to the vocoder and have the synth be the carrier but I can't follow the tutorial on youtube. My question, where do I find basic info on wiring and how these things work...any info out there on how each component works together? Thanks |

Hi SpacelySprockets ! Take a look @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0SE2AnEdaE&hl=nl The technique you were searching for is called : Sidechaining ... (Hmmm seems ive read your Q in a wrong way ... i thought youve said : cant find the tutorial on youtube ... was a bit to fast i think ...) But if you want to learn anything bout wiring etc . My advise is to take a look into some books ... (for example : Reason 3 Overdrive ... ) Greetzzzzzzzz Remy aka SCEZ (Ive uploaded a rns file with a simple Sidechain-setup ... just use this one to check some thing out ..) Grab the rns overhere : http://rapidshare.com/files/21818424...ssion.zip.html Good luck ! Last edited by SCEZ; April 6th, 2009 at 17:52. Reason: Attachment added |
