my first thought is -- do you have a mixer? if you don't, the first thing you create goes into the hardware but by default nothing else will -- thus, subsequent instruments don't go to the hardware, don't go to your sound card and therefore don't make a peep. if you are rewiring you don't need the mixer but you will need to flip the rack and manually wire up each instrument so you can then carry it over to your daw. just as an fyi from someone who's been using reason for years -- reason does it's own "logical wiring" by default but if you aren't hearing a noise, always go to something not being plugged in correctly -- usually it's a minor thing that can be quicly identified and solved. |
