Default Equalizer

This is a topic that really hurts (and I am not really experienced) but what are some basic principals I should follow? I guess each instrument needs to be adjusted in standard frequences (more or less) isn't it? Also, the instruments should be in different frequences so that everything can be heard? Lastly, what feeling each frequence gives in the sound?

Thank you!

Way, way too much to say here. The best thing to do right now is do a google on basic eq. Each voice requires it's own eg and this is just too much to cover in a paragraph or two.

The truth is I have googled it but there is too much information and i cannot see which are the "good" ones
Could you recommend me a site which has useful information about eq?

thanks

You should search for internal mixing and mastering books and read them.

Well easy to say...
Of course I will read when I find time..

I read the guide and it was pretty useful about the basic concepts which brings me to another question: Is there any graphic eq in reason or anything that will show the frequences of each instrument?

I used to have a chart showing the ranges. I'll look for it.

Joe

Here's a couple that I found.
